Chic & Modern Tropical Wedding at Villa Woodbine

When Katy reached out to us she said: “I wouldn’t describe myself as the quintessential, traditional bride that has the perfect wording and description for the vision of her wedding – But I know what I’m looking for when I see it. And, your florals are EXACTLY what I’m looking for.”

The Wedding

Couple / Katy and Adrian
Location / Villa Woodbine in Miami

Katie and Adrian came in wanting Chic and unique Florals, Fruit Accents and fun bright colors. They wanted some tropical elements in their design, but elevated.

They wanted their wedding to feel like Miami, but their version of Miami, so none of the overused, tropicals that we’re used to seeing.

Floral Design

We created a couple of moodborards for them one with more of a wild garden vibe, the other with a highlight on tropical native plants. She ultimately picked the Modern Tropics moodboard which included

• Interesting Florals for Wow Moments on the Tables
• Bud Vases with Romantic Blooms
• Red Pops that were crucial to the Design

Bride Bouquet

Katy asked us for a bouquet that had some asymetry and that had a drip with a modern twist. She wanted something unexpected and we tried to see red roses – something we typically don’t use in a different way.

The Ceremony at Villa Woodbine

She wanted to keep ceremony minimal and bring the focus on Villa Woodbine’s tree as a backdrop. We designed an accent drapery in a sand tone to highlight the tree and provide a backdrop for them and accented the Aisle with Aisle Flower Installs.

Reception & Party

They used a mix of farm tables and Rounds. We custom dyed runners in a slate blue color to go with the rest of the design. Spanish inspired accent tiles were used for the table numbers. We Included tablescape with sand toned pillar candles , tealights and pulled it all togther with tropical fruit montages.
