Botanical Minimalist Design inside the Cloisters of an Ancient Monastery
Beatriz and Kyle called us and knew they wanted one thing with their wedding decor: MINIMALISTIC ROMANCE.
Decor can get distracting sometimes, but she was keyed in on what would pull the look together. Focusing on a clean palette of greens and whites, we played with texture and airy design to reach her vision.
Ceremony at Ancient Spanish Monastery’s Loggia Garden
Their ceremony took place under the archway in front of the chapel . We had two pillars creating a deconstructed arch with a lot of textures, dried florals and greenery. With such a stunning backdrop, the minimalist look absolutely popped.
Everything was truly more beautiful than I could have ever imagined, and this is after spending countless hours on Pinterest thinking I knew exactly what I wanted – Bea
A Statement Bouquet
As Understated as the design was – Bea wanted to make a statement with her drip statement bouquet. We used airy and whimsical white clematis as well as smilax.
At one point as she walked around the space, I saw her made up and holding her bouquet and my eyes watered. This is one of those moments that makes you realize how much impact we can have as florists.
A Candlelight filled Tablescape in the monastery’s old cloisters
For Bea, Candles were the most important part of her tablescape. Set in the cloisters at the Ancient Spanish Monastery, we enhanced that old world feel of the venue and brought in romantic candle-lit lighting and petite arrangements with white florals in between them.
The Color Palette
The color palette was a mix of whites, stone, neutrals, and greens. We used a monochromatic range of neutrals with dried florals and pops of that bright white with florals like Queen Annes, Anemones, and baby’s breath. We also used wild vines to bring in that organic greenery.
