Lilacs, Whites and a Modern Twist on a Fairytale Wedding

From the start, Ciara and Justin wanted a romantic, fairytale look. Ciara loved Villa Woodbine, she said being there felt like a trip back in time.

They wanted to play with whites and greens and add hints of color organically. How do we reimagine what a fairytale wedding will feel like? We suggested they use neutral tones as a base and add a little color – a pop of lavender and yellow.

Modern Fairytale Wedding at Villa Woodbine

When it comes to a venue that exudes both historical charm and stunning beauty, Villa Woodbine stands out – it giving old style Mediteranean

Located in the heart of Miami, this venue marries the lush, tropical vibe of Old Miami with the elegance of the Tuscan countryside.

Their moodboard was called Fairytale Garden and really focused on the romantic, old-world feel of the Villa. Romantic colors like lavenders and yellows mixed with the greens and neutrals gave a soft vibe throughout the space.

Their Floral Moodboard & Color Palette

We used not only their invitiation but their bridesmaids dresses to work cohesively for their look.

We focused on florals with texture like lilac, butterfly ranunculus, lisianthus, and delphiniums.

A Garden Cocktail Vibe with Intentional Moments

They started their day with a small, private ceremony with a select amount of guests and then the rest of their friends and family arrived for cocktail hour and reception.

Having intentional moments with the florals throughout the space was important to keep a cohesive look throughout the event. We made sure to have florals by the welcome sign as well as on the staircase for dreamy, charming moments.

We were so so so happy with how all our florals turned out! They brought my inspo board to life! It felt like a fairytale!

Fairytale Wedding ceremony and reception

The ceremony featured two ground floral pieces that beautifully framed the couple, aisle arrangements that later adorned the reception—adding continuity to the day’s events.

wooden chairs arranged for a wedding ceremony with floral decorations in a garden setting.

Tables were mixed, some had centerpieces and others simpler bud vase arrangements, all softly lit by flameless tealights to create an intimate atmosphere.

The sweetheart table was a crescent moon shape, reusing the aisle décor to craft a personal and enchanting space for Ciara and Justin.

They went for a less-is-more vibe with their wedding cake. It was already a showstopper, so they skipped the usual floral toppers and went with some floral accents around the base instead.
