Terracotta and Mauve Ceremony in Miami Beach

In love with terracotta and mauve as much as we are? We used these two tones to design an art deco inspired ceremony at The Confidante in Miami Beach.

Reusability was on my mind, and we wanted this modern backdrop to be versatile enough to be used throughout the space.

This shoot was concepted by Ginamarie Events, who brought in the talented photographer Halle Alessia.

Aesthetic & Style

Drawing inspiration from art deco – we went with bold tones in terracotta and mauve and slightly untamed floral designs with a modern twist.

Color Palette

Fall tones with coppery terracotta, sandy browns, mauve pinks, rusty oranges, honey yellows and a pop of amaranth.

Floral Design

We went with flowers that would feel loose and whimsical in terracotta and mauve tones with pops of peach, marigold and amaranth.

Main Recipe: Dahlias, Double Tulips, Cosmos, Butterfly ranunculus in multiple colors, Rust Toned Celosia and Foraged Greenery

We loved the texture of dahlias and the whimsical nature of butterfly ranunculus all tousled together with branchy foraged greens.

Personals

For her bridal bouquet the design was loose and whimsical , and included beautiful pops “flyaway” florals like butterfly ranunculus.

For him, we kept it simple and monochromatic with a light terracotta tone.

Ceremony

A re-imagined ceremony with a backdrop that was a departure from the typical arbor or arch.

This beautiful custom backdrop was made backdrop was made by Realm Rentals.

ceremony at the confidante with panel backdrop

A freestanding backdrop was designed as a unique alternative to the traditional arch. This creative backdrop in terracotta and mauve tones with suspended mini -installs of colorful blooms was used throughout the wedding.

Reception

This reception was held at The Confidante Hotel. From the floral standpoint we created two different type of florals for the round tables.

The first was a low centerpiece , the other was a half moon with tapered candles.

Floral Details

The panels from the ceremony were reused to create a delicate placecard idea . This works as a great alternative to place cards on tables.

For the wedding cake, a few saturated blooms in marigold styled beautifully was more than enough to complete this shoot.
