A Nostalgic Wedding Day at the Miami Beach Botanical

When we first talked to Jackie about her dreams for her wedding she described the whole thing as feeling like “golden hour.”

So, how do we create an entire 5 hour event to feel dreamy, nostalgic and romantic the entire time?

The first thing we did was take into account that Jackie and Matthew were outdoorsy people.  I got inspired by what I perceive to be Golden Hour vibes but in a romantic and earthy vibes. We pulled from nature, using toffee and cappuccino roses and other soft, neutral colored florals.

A Miami Beach Garden Wedding

Inspired by their love for the outdoors and the allure of Miami Beach, we caught the beauty of the Miami Beach Botanical Garden setting to create the perfect backdrop for weddings in Miami.. The garden, an ideal venue for outdoor weddings, was designed for tranquility, with evening lights adding a magical, golden hour wedding scene.

Floral Color Palette

We thought about how much Jackie and Matthew love being outside, embodying the spirit of nature-inspired florals. We chose earthy colors. We took inspiration from the bridesmaid dresses as well. The Palette introduces more contrast and has the earthy tones Jackie loved and can play well with the bridesmaid dresses.and neutral flowers to match that vibe, integrating romantic wedding details into every aspect.

It was about creating a laid-back, beautiful atmosphere that brought out those colors.

Crafting Jackie’s Vibrant, Scented Bouquet

Jackie wanted her bouquet to smell as good as it looked, making her a quintessential wedding florist dream client.

We combined wedding bouquet herbs for a unique aroma with scented stock as well as rosemary.

Adding double tulips, toffee roses, scabiosa, echinacea and muscari kept it fresh, creating a visually stunning bouquet with a diverse scent profile for a memorable experience for our bride Jackie.

Ceremony and Reception in Miami Beach Botanical Garden

They chose a cool vibe for their ceremony, featuring an asymmetrical floral chuppah adorned with lush greenery and vibrant flowers.

The reception had a laid-back, romantic vibe. We utilized the entire space, hanging wild greenery from the chandeliers on the ceiling and surrounding the Sweetheart table around on the ground. We used sand-colored taper candles and green charmeuse linens.

The table settings were a cool mix of nude taper candles, brass tealight vessels, and modern glass vases, all under a canopy of wild greenery draped from the ceiling and around the main table, creating a perfectly chill, nature-inspired scene.
